It rarely
happens that I come across a beautiful subject by chance. I walked
up the garden path one afternoon and saw this striking group.
The gorgeous flowers of these irises, surrounded by catmint, make
an almost symmetrical composition. The light shining from directly
ahead makes the colours glow in a harmony of green and purple.
